A day in the garden

A few pictures of the weekend, where we took out the water circuit from Thomas, and built a yurt under the umbrellas.

The water circuit witnessed a few traffic jams with all the animals floating in the current in the middle of the boats. And Iggy and Squeeggy, the two little divers, finally had a chance to enjoy an outdoor swim after practicing in the bath tub for months.

On the last picture, Kyan is busy installing a door for mice at the back of the yurt...

Flashy caterpillars

Kyan got a new pair of pants cut in the orange/pink version of the caterpillar print. After negociation, I scaled back the number of pockets to two. He originally wanted ten pockets... As for the pink, which Kyan loves, I'm trying to include it in small touches as to not end up looking like a big candy, but it's an interesting challenge, I'm sure many little boys love that color.

Obviously, the blue top with the orange pants isn't working so well, but once on, there was no way to take them off, these pants...

Shoe heaven

Here's a subject which will make Anastasia very happy: this week's Spoonflower contest is "shoes"... I had in mind to do something with these indian shoes I had seen in shops a while ago, and the contest was the perfect excuse to finally get to it...

And if you feel like voting, it's HERE.

Crafty blog "La girafe bricole" now bilingual

For those curious to know more about all the stuffs I'm doing on the side... I've had this blog for a while, but it was all in french until now. Some of the subjects and pictures are pretty similar to those you can find on "the easton-devaud" blog, which is a friends and family blog. "La Girafe Bricole" is open to everyone, so feel free to share...

You can find the blog HERE.

P.s: the cat house isn't one of my creations, but I love the idea...

Hippie Girl

Anastasia's turn to present her style, although she's a few decades behind (but still in the area, on a Sausalito beach facing San Francisco)... Looking forward to seeing how that style will evolve in a few years...

Kyan Style

Not sure the style will take off in the fashion world, but it's what Kyan chose to go play in the garden: warm Winter boots, Tshirt, boxer undies, hat. Positively no pants, it would wreck the whole image.

And if you're wandering what Odile is doing, she's a traffic light, switching from red to green with a little flashing orange in-between...

Gallop

Short visit at a park, a very serious park with a huge castle with many towers and galleries where even grown-ups can slide in. And a few horses around, to make it more real.

Talking horses, we tried to set Anastasia and Kyan on a pony. Kyan wasn't too much into it, so we didn't insist. Anastasia wanted to try, but only on the biggest pony. It's when the pony started walking that she got a bit scared... Until a future attempt, Anastasia's discovering the joy of the gallop on toy horses...

The Bunny has come...

So, for Easter, the Bunny came all the way to our garden, although this year, He had to be quite organized because of the wet weather. We just had the time to go look for what he had left us between breakfast and the beginning of the rain, which lasted all day. And since He was quite generous, we had plenty of sugar to keep our little guys hyper. By the end of the day, it felt like they were both mounted on springs...

Aquarium

One more picture of the weekend in Monterey, of the aquarium, which we got just for us for a while. Since we don't see the fish so well on the picture, we're looking at three hammerhead sharks, a white shark, several manta raies, huge tuna fish, sardines, a big sunfish... The rest, I don't remember ...
